EXCELLENT Based on 129 reviews Posted on Scott Van HooserMarch 2, 2026. Allen is the man! I called him about getting a quote to remove a dead mature queen palm in my yard. Allen shows up, gives me a quote within my budget (without me even telling him what my budget was), knocked down the tree, and hauled it away... ALL IN THE SAME DAY. I have a travel trailer, a fence, some nice palm trees, and a sprinkler head within just a few feet of this tree and Allen managed to get the job done safely without damaging any of my (nor my neigbors) property. Quality work at an affordable price is hard to find these days, especially when it comes to tree service around the Clearwater area, but Allen's Tree Works offers both so if you're considering anyone else for your tree service needs... just don't.Posted on Pamela RainsongNovember 28, 2025. GreatJob!!!Posted on Robin HasslerNovember 26, 2025. After seeing my neighbors getting their tree removed and saying what great service they got. I decided to use Allen's Tree Works to remove a 30 ft tree that was in a narrow space very close to my house. Their price was more than fair, and they did excellent work. I would highly recommend them for any tree service.Posted on Kathy KorzenskiNovember 25, 2025. I recently hired Allen’s Tree Service to take down a large old maple tree in my front yard. He and his team arrived early in the morning and worked very hard all day. They cleaned up the entire area. I would definitely hire this company again.Someone else in my community also used his service and were also very pleased. Kathy ScholppPosted on Sheila MansurNovember 24, 2025. Would highly recommend this company.Posted on Oriana CloudenAugust 1, 2025. Absolutely amazing job, efficient, great communication, quick and above and beyond! Truly, Allen and his team were so reasonably priced, they removed 2 large palms and cut and removed half of a very large tree for us as well. They showed up and worked very fast, they also cleared all the debris well and even leafblowed my entire front drive way, front entrance and sidewalk as well as cleaning up some debris where another palm had fallen. This was all above and beyond work. This is truly the type of service you don't come by often anymore! So happy with them. Highly recommend!Posted on Brian ViscountJuly 25, 2025. Tree Removal in Safety Harbor Florida
As the owner of Allen’s Tree Works, we understand that making the decision to remove a tree can be a challenging task. Trees provide numerous benefits to our environment, including improving air quality and providing shade. However, when a tree becomes a safety hazard or its health degrades to a point that it can no longer survive, it may be necessary to remove it.
When considering whether or not a tree should be removed, there are several factors to take into account. The tree’s age is an essential consideration as younger trees have a better chance of survival and may be able to recover from damage. Dead or dying trees pose an imminent threat and should be removed without delay. The appearance of a property can also be a considerable concern, and some trees may need to be removed to enhance its visual appeal.
The process of tree removal is complex, and it requires specialized tools, knowledge, and experience. Therefore, it is crucial to contact a tree removal professional to evaluate the health of the tree before deciding to remove it. Our team of professionals at Allen’s Tree Works can determine if a tree needs to be removed based on their assessment of its condition.
If the damage to the tree is more than 50%, removing it should be the next step. However, if the damage is less than 50%, there are other measures that we can take to try and save the tree. These measures include trimming, pruning, and other treatments.
It is essential to acknowledge that attempting to remove a tree on your own can be dangerous and can cause both personal injury and property damage. Therefore, it is recommended that you contact a professional tree removal company who can help you assess your tree’s condition and decide on the appropriate course of action.
At Allen’s Tree Works, we have skilled arborists who specialize in tree removal, and we prioritize safety and quality in all our operations. If you are considering tree removal in Safety Harbor, call us, and our team of professionals will provide you with the best possible service and results.
A little history on Safety Harbor, Florida
Safety Harbor has been around for a very long time. In June 2008, a 6,000-year-old spearhead was found at Marshall Street Park, if this give you an idea how old it is. The people of the area at the time of Spanish travels were the Tocobaga people, who lived in villages around Tampa Bay. The survival of this culture relied on out of the normal resources. Safety Harbor land sites have yielded pottery, and artifacts of copper, shell, and stone from centuries ago. The Tocobaga were known for making different ceremonial and communal mounds to bury their dead. Most of these sites were destroyed in the early 1900s due to land development. However, one of these ceremonial mounds is still visible in Safety Harbor’s Phillippe Park. Shells found in these mounds were used to pave city streets.
In 1528 Spanish explorer Pánfilo de Narváez landed in the area, followed by Hernando de Soto 11 years later in 1539. Safety Harbor (formerly known as Worth’s Harbor) was first homesteaded by Count Odet Philippe, a French nobleman who is giving credit for introducing the grapefruit to Florida in 1823. The name Safety Harbor came from the early 18th century, when pirates were a big influence in the area. Once ships got to this area of the bay, all threats from pirates were gone, and it was commonly referred to as a “Safe Harbor”.
